Acknowledgment of Country

Indigo Shire Council acknowledges the original custodians of these lands. The people of the rivers and the hills have walked these lands for thousands of years as well as today, and we pay respect to the elders of the past, present and emerging.

Our climate action

Welcome to Council's climate action website, where we are committed to taking positive steps towards a sustainable future!

We've established this website as a hub of valuable information for you to explore, showcasing the various climate actions that we are implementing at Council, and in support of our community.

Our strong commitment to tackling climate change is reflected by our Climate Emergency declaration in 2019 and Net Zero by 2035 target for our organisation's greenhouse gas emissions.

We're thrilled that you're here, eager to learn and contribute to the important cause of combating climate change.
