This is the total amount of emissions produced by (GJ) by ISC operations. This includes emissions from electricity as well as sources such as goods and services, fleet (transport fuel), water usage and natural gas consumption.
Notes:
Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions are included in this total.
This data is reported by Trellis, our carbon accounting platform. Data originate from invoices to ISC.
Some of ISC's facilities are managed by Committees of Management or lease holders. As ISC gains access to these data, the amount of energy consumed may appear to increase, though this is due to better data collection and not necessarily consuming more electricity per facility. As of 2023, ISC is working towards moving electricity consumption in leased facilities, which are currently invoiced to lease holders, onto PPA (VECO).
The large spike occurring in approximately June - August 2022 is due to the inclusion of Goods and Services emissions data for the first time. The total emissions prior to June 2022 are likely in line with this level. Total emissions after August 2022 are still being calculated by Trellis.
Some of ISC's goods and services are not yet covered by emissions uplift calculations. As this information becomes available, our emissions estimate will improve - but potentially increase.
